When you know where and when you will have your first craft show and researched on what is needed to make a realistic investment. You have also decided on how much your product will cost. A price that will not be too expensive those customers will not buy or too cheap that you will not profit from.
There are things that you will also need to prepare before going to the craft show. Things like preparing for your business cards that you can give to customers when they ask for it. Some customers might decide to purchase your item after the craft show. Or they may have questions that they have forgotten to ask.
It is also important to prepare for a credit card machine. Some customers prefer to purchase with their credit card instead of carrying cash especially when they purchase big items. So have a credit card machine ready so that you wont loose your sale to other vendors.
Craft shows are not only physically tiring but it can also be emotionally tiring. Make sure to have other family members around to help you out. When your family is busy at taking care of your business then it will be time for you to mingle. It is time to talk with your customers and other vendors.
In a craft show you must always keep you best foot forward. Plan to have a live show on how you make your product or crafts. Most customers like to purchase items that they have seen being made. Also make sure to make a schedule of the live show so that your customer will plan ahead on when to visit you again.
